This Archive of motion picture film has been an on-going project of Simon Carroll’s for over 20 years. It specialises in 35mm timelapse photography of the wilds by the light of star, moon and lightning storm activity.
Pictures from this Archive have appeared in many feature films and television documentaries. Awards for cinematography include a gold medal at the New York festivals – 1995, an AFI Award (Australian Film Institute) – 1997, an Emmy Award – 2002, and a BAFTA.
An average of one hour of new footage per year is added to the Archive. Filming continues at diverse locations around the world.
